Bain Rock

Bain Rock is an 80s fantasy and dystopian political thriller with found family, adventure, and a slow-burn sapphic romance.  June 1984, the militia has outlawed all magic on the remote island of Inea and Emma is running out of time.  As war brews between the Council of Witches and Dissenters, Emma sets out on a perilous journey to save her last living relative. A descendant from a long line of witches, Emma has yet to manifest any powers and meets Nor, the daughter of a sworn enemy and prominent Dissenter. A slow-burn forbidden love unfolds as they can't help gravitate towards one another. But not everything is as it seems. Emma uncovers a secret that threatens everything and she must decide how far she’s willing to go.
