Portal Fever

Portal Fever is a fast-paced sci-fi thriller novella set in 1994.  

When her cousin Benny disappears, Sam sets out to find him through a series of portal trips that allow her to travel instantly to several locations on Earth. As a jaded psychiatrist, she finds her spark for life as she uncovers a hidden world and a connection with the irreverent Alice, which catches her off guard.

As she learns to navigate the portal system, Sam encounters the mysterious Keepers, who have sworn to protect it, and rogue agents who wish to manipulate it.

She has forty-seven minutes before the portal pulls her back, but a series of malfunctions brings unexpected results and threatens to cost her everything.
